The initial consultation will include taking a thorough history and getting to know your horse, followed by a physical examination to highlight areas of pain or dysfunction. This will include:
- Gait/ functional assessment
- Range of movement
- Palpation of joints and soft tissues
- Strength
- Balance and proprioception
- Neurological assessment (if required)

- Soft tissue injuries (e.g. SDFT/DDFT/Suspensory ligament)
- Post- surgery (e.g. kissing spine)

- General maintenance/ fitness
